Marginal keratitis in a 59 year old female patient after the application of false lashes. This is an inflammation of the outer edge of the cornea, the clear dome-shaped window in the front of the eye. It is caused by the body's reaction to staphylococci bacteria. Symptoms of marginal keratitis include irritation, red eye, mucus discharge and light sensitivity. Treatment for this condition is with antibiotic or steroid eye drops. | |
