Fibromyalgia (FM or FMS) is a disorder of unknown origin,which causes chronic pain and allodynia (a heightened and painful response to pressure) over various parts of the body. However,fibromyalgia,is not restricted to pain and therefore may be classified as fibromyalgia syndrome.
