Furthest point from the sea. Satellite image of the furthest point from the sea on Earth,in central Asia. North is at top. The green lake just left of centre is Ozero Zaysan in eastern Kazakhstan. The lake is roughly 120 kilometres long. Three other countries' borders meet at upper centre,with Russia to the north,China to the south and Mongolia to the east. The pale region at lower right is the Dzungaria Basin in China,bordered to the south by the Tian Shan mountains,and to the north (at centre right) by the Altai mountains.
