Earth from the ISS during mission STS-131. Time-lapse footage of the Earth seen from orbit from the International Space Station (ISS) during mission STS-131 (5-20 April 2010). The footage starts with a view from the ISS cupola, and includes both day and night views. City lights are seen on the Earth below. The Space Shuttle Discovery is seen docked to the ISS. The daytime scene passing below includes clouds, land and ocean. The second half of the clip returns to a night view, with the green glow of aurorae visible in the Earth's atmosphere. The final part of the clip sees the return of the Sun which illuminates solar panels and a Soyuz capsule docked to the ISS.
