Solar lentigo in a 53 year old male patient. This is a common skin condition characterised by the formation of flat, brown spots on areas of the skin that have been exposed to sunlight, particularly the face, hands, shoulders and arms. They vary in size and can range from light brown to dark brown. Solar lentigines usually do not require treatment. Topical treatments, laser therapy and cryotherapy (freezing) can be used for cosmetic reasons. | |
