Oral lichen planus lesions in a Hispanic female patient who has been treated with intralesional injections of the anti-inflammatory steroid triamcinolone acetonide. The injections deliver higher concentrations than topical application. Lichen planus is an inflammatory disorder of the skin and mucous membranes characterised by purplish, itchy, flat-topped bumps.
