Lead iodide precipitate, 2 of 3. 0.2M solution of potassium iodide (KI) is streamed from a burette into a beaker containing 0.1M solution of lead(II) nitrate (Pb(NO3)2). Yellow lead(II) iodide precipitate (PbI2) is formed: KI + Pb(NO3)2 -> PbI2 + KNO3. This is an example of a double displacement reaction. | |
