Infected varicose eczema in a 76 year old male patient. Varicose eczema is caused by poor circulation and results in itching, blisters and dry, scaly skin. The eczema has become infected, either due to scratching or poor hygiene. The infection is treated with antibiotics, whilst the eczema is treated with soothing ointments and corticosteroids. | |
