Omeprazole capsules (blue and orange) with omeprazole and sodium bicarbonate capsules (light blue and white). Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach. It is used to treat symptoms of indigestion, peptic ulcer disease (PUD) and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and to heal and prevent gastric and duodenal ulcers. Sodium bicarbonate is an antacid which neutralises excess stomach acid. | |
