Cleeve Hill iron age fort, UK, aerial photograph. This iron age hill fort, located on a rocky escarpment in the Cotswolds, UK, was occupied from about 400BC to around 46AD when the Romans invaded. It has been partly destroyed by limestone quarrying, but its banks and ditches are still very prominent. The site is bordered by Cleeve Common a limestone grassland area. | |
