Juvenile Verreaux's eagle owl (Bubo lacteus). This owl is also known as a giant or milky eagle owl. Whilst not endangered, it is fairly rare. It is also the largest of the owls on the African continent. It usually eats medium-sized mammals including monkeys, hedgehogs, hyraxes, larger birds, reptiles, frogs, invertebrates, fish and even carrion.
