Light micrograph of a basal cell adenoma, a benign salivary gland tumour. The tumour is composed of ductal structures which contain basement membrane material (the hot pink roughly circular structures). The tumour cells have small, blue round nuclei. There are also supporting stromal spindle shaped cells in the spaces in between the ductal tumour structures. Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section.
