Lamotrigine anti-epilepsy drug. Tablets of the anti-convulsant drug lamotrigine, marketed under the name Lamictal. This drug is used for the treatment of epilepsy. Anticonvulsant drugs such as this are also used to prevent seizures following a serious head injury or brain surgery. They act by suppressing the abnormally high levels of electrical brain activity that cause seizures. | |
