Testate amoeba of the genus Arcella sp. in its test/shell with pseudopods sticking out. This protozoan is found in freshwater ponds and puddles. It feeds on diatoms, unicellular green algae and other protozoa. The circular shell is formed from the polysaccharide chitin.
