This Ceremonial Gold Cape is a unique covering for the upper body of a buried woman c.1900-1600 BC. It was accompanied by nearly 300 amber beads, now lost. Signs of repair indicate that it was well used, possibly during processions and ceremonies. Found at Mold, North Wales in 1833. | |
