Intralesional injection of an anti-inflammatory steroid to treat lichen planus in a 43 year old Hispanic female patient. The injections deliver higher concentrations than topical application. Lichen planus is an inflammatory disorder of the skin and mucous membranes characterised by purplish, itchy, flat-topped bumps. The cause is unknown. | |
