Close-up of the hands of a female child mummy at the Museum of the Mummies of Quinto, Aragon, Spain. The age of the mummy is estimated between age between 7 and 10 months because the maxillary central incisors had already erupted. According to the results of a CT scan, some fragments of dehydrated brain and remains of the meninges inside the cranial cavity. The remains of internal organs could be seen in the thoracic cavity (lungs and heart). No pathological or traumatic signs were observed, nor could the cause of death be determined. | |
