| This axial (cross sectional) T2 weighted MR image shows a multilobulated mass in the fourth ventricle. This represents an epidermoid cyst which is a congenital lesion consisting of keratinized epithelium with desquamation. These expand/grow over time. This is the same as a congenital cholesteatoma. This resulted in obstructive hydrocephalus in this case. | |
