Zebraite is a rock formed by alternating layers of white calcite or dolomite, and dark grey magnetite. This sample measures 14 cm across and is from Langban, a mining area in Varmland County, Sweden. This is also the type locality of this rock and the only place where it occurs under this name. A rock known as zebra rock in Australia is similar. | |
