Patient with an incisional hernia. This is a result of a surgical wound that has failed to completely heal. These hernias are typically found in the region below the umbilicus following vertical incisions for previous abdominal surgery. The recently scar from the previous operation has dilated significantly on this patient. There is an increased risk of this type of hernia if the patient is obese. | |
