Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope (FGST) Large Area Telescope (LAT) image of gamma ray bursts observed over a decade. The locations of 186 events (green dots) observed by the telescope are shown on a gamma-ray sky. Using nine years of LAT data, the map shows how the gamma ray sky appears at energies above 10 billion electron volts. The bright plane in the middle of the image shows our Milky Way Galaxy. | |
