Trametinib melanoma cancer drug. Trametinib is a cancer growth blocker drug used to treat melanoma skin cancer. It is a protein kinase inhibitor drug that inhibits MEK1 and MEK 2 proteins. Trametinib is used in patients that have a mutation in the BRAF gene. Patients who have had stage three melanoma skin cancer removed by surgery can also be given trametinib to reduce the risk of the cancer returning. | |
