Space Launch System core stage test. The flight computers and avionics for the SLS were tested as part of a series of tests called the 'Green Run'. The tests will simulate the launch of the rocket, ensuring that all software and hardware components are ready for the Artemis program. The core stage provides thrust for the SLS, which is the most powerful rocket NASA has ever built. The Artemis I mission, scheduled to launch in November 2021, will send an uncrewed spacecraft around the Moon and back to Earth. Stennis Space Center, near Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, USA. | |
