Chronic actinic dermatitis
Chronic actinic dermatitis (CAD) on the arm of a male patient. This inflammation of the skin is caused by an abnormal sensitivity to sunlight. CAD is most common in men over 50 who have previously had other forms of dermatitis. There is no cure, but it may resolve spontaneously after many years. Treatment is aimed at reducing exposure to sunlight.
