Laser beam refracting. When light is incident from the air on the acrylic block it refracts (bends) toward the normal to the surface. The angles of incidence and refraction are related through the Snell's law. In this photograph a blue laser beam is used to demonstrate the phenomenon. Digitally manipulated. | |
