Ara? aris are small toucans that often fly in groups of five. They nest in tree holes and feed on a variety of fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. The Chestnut-eared Ara? ari (Pteroglossus castanotis) is common in rainforests of the Amazon and Orinoco Basins in South America. This individual was photographed in Amazonian Peru, January 2018. | |
