The Marbled Hatchetfish (Carnegiella strigata) is found across the Amazon Basin. This species lives in schools and feeds from the surface. They are considerable jumpers and will grab low flying insects. This individual (a juvenile) was photographed in Iquitos, Peru, 2018. | |
