Colorful flames occur during the production of a bronze gamelan gong, a traditional Indonesian musical instrument. Bronze is acheived by smelting tin and copper together. During the early smelting process, the tin and copper are put into the fire, producing colorful flames. These colors subside after the tin and copper melt. | |
