The Chinga meteorite came down in the area of the Chinga river in the Tuva province of Southern Russia, near the Mongolian border. It is an iron (83 per cent) meteorite with a relatively high content of nickel (16, 6 per cent), a type of meteorite known as an achondrite. Actual width of this fragment is 120 mm. | |
