Lattice cryptography research. Lattice cryptography is a super-robust collection of security protocols designed to protect data from the possible threat of hackers who may one day be aided by quantum computing systems. Lattice cryptography hides data in a high-dimensional lattice. Recovering this data without knowing a secret trapdoor is believed to be impossible, even by quantum machines. Here, the lattice cryptography method is compared to systems that use prime factorization. Image published in 2018. | |
