This statue of Aphrodite, or Venus, is a Roman copy of a Greek original and is dated to the 2nd c. AD. It was found at Baiae, an ancient Roman town situated on the northwest shore of the Bay of Naples. It is made of Parian marble and is on display at the National Archaeological Museum, Athens. | |
