Boudinage in rodonite dyke crossing serpentinite near Trockener Steg,Zermatt canton Valais,Switzerland. The outcrop has been polished by glacier ice flowing over it; the glacier recently has receded from this position. The orange colour is caused by the mineral hessonite,an orange-yellow type of garnet. | |
