This illustration,dating from 1651 and titled 'Dance of Death',is by Bohemian artist Wenceslaus Hollar after Hans Holbein the Younger after Abraham van Diepenbeeck. The Latin inscription 'Medice cura te ipsum' translates as 'Physician,heal thyself',and is an ancient Biblical quote. | |
