A Leeds & Northrop 5305 resistance galvanometer on display in the Space Walk of Fame museum in Titusville, Florida. A galvanometer is an instrument for measuring small electric currents by the deflection of a moving coil (beneath the gauge on the panel here). Instructions for use are included inside the lid of the wooden box. This item was used as a test instrument in the early US space programme of the 1950s. | |
