A pair of aluminium boot covers, of a type used by astronauts on the Skylab space station in the mid-1970s, on display in the Space Walk of Fame museum in Titusville, Florida. Although it is unclear from the display how the boot covers were used, the astronauts' shoes had triangular plates attached to the soles of their shoes that would allow them to attach themselves to the triangular grid floor of the station. | |
