MODEL RELEASED. Leg wound treatment following a fall. Wound that has been packed with gauze following debridement of a haematoma (internal bleeding) in a large wound on the lower leg (calf) of an 82-year-old man after a fall at home. The haematoma (which has been cleaned up and removed) was where blood had clotted after internal bleeding from broken blood vessels. The injury occurred after a fall through a loft ceiling while doing home improvements (DIY).
