Orion Kleinmann-Low nebula, illustration. The Orion Kleinmann-Low (KL) nebula is an active star forming region in the Orion Nebula. The protostar (centre) is surrounded by a disk of gas and dust. The outflow of material is launched from the surface of the outer disk. The object is named after Douglas Kleinmann and Frank J. Low, who discovered the nebula in 1967. | |
