Apollo 15 mission badge,1971. The Apollo 15 mission to the Moon took place from 26 July to 7 August 1971. NASA astronauts David Scott (commander) and James Irwin (Lunar Module pilot) descended to the lunar surface,with Alfred Worden in lunar orbit in the Command Module. As well as the astronaut names,the mission badge features red,white and blue symbols of flight,superimposed over an artwork of the Apollo 15 Hadley-Apennine landing site. | |
