This axial (cross sectional) T2 weighted MR image shows a large, heterogeneous signal intensity vestibular schwannoma in the internal auditory canal, cerebellopontine angle cistern (CP angle) with prominent mass effect with compression of the middle cerebellar peduncle and the left side of the pons. There is a small enhancing lesion in the anterior left cavernous sinus which likely represents an additional schwannoma of one of the cranial nerves traversing the cavernous sinus. | |
