Sulfurflower buckwheat, Eriogonum umbellatum. Also knows as sulfurflower, it is a widespread and highly variable western wildflower. Abundant in Rocky mountains, its flowers can vary from yellow to orange and tend to darken with age. It makes an attractive xeric garden plant within its natural range.
