Macrodactyly of the feet. Close-up of the feet of a 45-year-old woman with local gigantism of the feet, before surgical removal of the middle toe of the left foot. When it affects the hands and feet, this condition is known as macrodactyly. There can be many causes of this condition, which is characterised by larger than normal size of limbs or digits due to excessive growth.
