Pinch the victim's nose to close the nostrils. Take a deep breath, cover the victim's mouth completely with yours, and blow into it. For a child under 1 year old, two rescue breaths are given covering the nose and mouth of the child with your mouth. Each breath must last one second and stop as soon as the chest rises. Move your mouth away and release the nostrils while observing whether the victim's chest lowers. If the chest of the victim does not move on the first try, move the head back into position and blow into the mouth again | |
