The breasts are two glandular organs rich in adipose tissue that cover the pectoral muscles. In women, each breast contains a mammary gland. Under the action of different hormones, these glands slowly increase in volume during the days preceding periods, while during pregnancy they develop considerably to prepare to produce milk for the newborn.
