A molecular model of a tetrahedral protein cage. Protein cages are assembled using natural protein building blocks that can be manipulated into a variety of shapes and sizes. The resulting structure can be utilized to improve cancer treatments by delivering chemotherapy drugs directly to cancer cells, avoiding damage to healthy cells and reducing the toxic side effects of chemotherapy. | |
