Iron (III) chromate precipitate, 1 of 3. Iron (III) chromate (Fe2 (CrO4)3) precipitate formed by adding 0.5 M potassium chromate solution (K2CrO4) drop by drop to 0.25 M iron (III) chloride solution (FeCl3). The reaction is K2CrO4 + FeCl3 -> Fe2 (CrO4)3 + KCl. This is an example of a double replacement reaction. | |
