Silver phosphate precipitate, 1 of 3. This series shows a progression as silver nitrate (AgNO3) is added to a test tube containing sodium phosphate (Na3PO4). Both solutions are 0.5 M concentration. Silver phosphate precipitate (Ag3PO4) is formed as a result: AgNO3 + Na3PO4 -> Ag3PO4 + NaNO3. This is an example of a double displacement reaction. | |
