Zinc reacting with silver nitrate. Zinc-coated (galvanized) screw was placed in a test tube (left frame). 0.5 M solution of silver nitrate solution was then added to the test tube. Since zinc is more reactive than silver, a single-displacement reaction occurred: Zn + AgNO3 -> Ag + Zn(NO3)2. Centre frame was taken few seconds after that. Right frame was taken about 45 sec later.
