Baking soda reacting with hydrochloric acid. A 0.1M solution of hydrochloric acid (HCl) is added to an equal amount of 0.1 M solution of baking soda (NaHCO3). Carbon dioxide bubbles are produced as a result of the reaction: NaHCO3 + HCl -> NaCl + H2O + CO2. | |
