A 50 year old windsurfer injured his right thigh after falling onto fire coral in the Caribbean. Intense suppuration developed after the accident within 24 hours and was treated daily by the dedicated staff of a small local hospital's walk-in clinic for a week. No skin graft was needed, but 35 years later the two scars are still clearly visible. | |
