This contrast enhanced sagittal T1 weighted MR image of the head shows a well circumscribed, non-enhancing isointense mass in the suprasellar cistern, contiguous with the floor of the third ventricle in this adolescent male with a history of gelastic (laughing) seizures. This is the typical appearance of a hypothalamic hamartoma. | |
